What plans does Clarity Books offer?
Three plans, all monthly: Solo ($29/mo) for one bank account and basic AI categorization; Pro ($49/mo) for unlimited bank accounts, SMS assistant, and Schedule C generation; Year-End ($99/mo) which adds the year-end packet, CPA delivery, and 1099 prep. Annual billing saves 20%.

Is there a free trial?
Yes — 14 days, no card required. You get the full Pro feature set during the trial. If you don't add a card by day 15, your account pauses (your data is preserved for 60 days in case you come back).
ARTICLE 03
How do I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Settings → Billing → Change Plan. Upgrades take effect immediately and we prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle so you don't lose paid time.

How do I update my payment method?
Settings → Billing → Payment Method → Update. We use Stripe to process payments — your card details never touch our servers. We accept all major credit and debit cards, plus ACH for annual plans.
ARTICLE 05
Where do I find my Clarity Books invoices?
Settings → Billing → Invoices. Every monthly charge generates a downloadable PDF invoice (with your business name and address if you set them under Settings → Profile). Useful for expensing your subscription against your own books.
ARTICLE 06
How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of your current billing period. There's no cancellation fee, no "are you sure" maze, no calling support. Cancel any time.
ARTICLE 07
What happens to my data if I cancel?
You can export everything (CSV, PDF) any time before or after canceling. After 60 days of inactivity post-cancellation, we permanently delete your data per our Data Retention policy. If you reactivate before the 60 days are up, everything's right where you left it.
