1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember things like that you are signed in. "Local storage" and "session storage" are related browser technologies that serve similar purposes. This policy covers all of them, and we refer to them together as "cookies."

2. Our Approach

Clarity Books AI uses only the strictly-necessary cookies needed to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics cookies, or a product-analytics SDK. We do not use third-party cross-site tracking. We do not sell or share data derived from cookies with data brokers or advertisers.

Mobile apps: our iOS and Android apps do not use browser cookies. Your session is stored on-device in secure app storage, and the OneSignal SDK stores a push-notification device identifier so we can deliver your weekly check-in.

If this list changes materially, we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent before new cookies are set.

4. Cookie Categories Explained

Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function. Without these, you cannot sign in, stay authenticated, or use the application securely. Consent is not required by law for strictly-necessary cookies. These are the only cookies we set.

Analytics

Not used. We do not run a product-analytics SDK and do not set analytics cookies. The only automatic diagnostics we collect are server-side error and crash reports (via Sentry) and rate-limit logs (via Upstash), neither of which is cookie-based.

Advertising / tracking

Not used. Clarity Books AI does not serve ads, does not target ads, does not embed third-party ad pixels, and does not participate in any cross-site advertising network.

5. How to Manage Cookies

Browser controls: every major browser lets you view, delete, and block cookies in settings. Clearing cookies will sign you out of Clarity Books AI.
"Do Not Track" / Global Privacy Control (GPC): we honor GPC signals where they apply. Because we do not sell or share Personal Information, GPC has no material additional effect on our handling of your data.
Account deletion: you can delete your account and all related server-side data from Settings at any time.

Note: disabling strictly-necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in or using the Service.

6. Children

The Service is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly set cookies or collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

We will update this page when the cookies we use change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
