Delete Your Account

1. Sign in at claritybooksai.com/login using the email associated with your account.
2. Open Settings from the left sidebar.
3. Scroll to the bottom. There is a section titled "Delete account".
4. Click "Delete my account" and confirm.

Deletion is immediate and irreversible. Your sign-in stops working as soon as confirmation completes.

If you cannot sign in (for example, you lost access to your email), send a deletion request to brayden@claritybooksai.com from any email address you can verify control of (such as a forwarding address or a number we have on file). We will respond within 7 business days and delete the account after identity verification.

• Your sign-in credentials and authentication records
• Your profile (name, business name, business type, phone number, settings)
• All transactions, including imported bank and credit card activity
• All AI learning rules trained from your activity
• All chat messages between you and the Clarity AI
• All invoices you have created in Clarity
• All recurring transaction rules
• All internal notes
• Your custom chart of accounts
• All Plaid bank-connection records and access tokens
• All push-notification device tokens and notification preferences
• All contractor / 1099 records
• All mileage trips
• All sales-tax entries
• All saved reports
• All business entities and their records
• All uploaded files: receipt photos, e-receipt PDFs, bank/credit-card statements, and CSVs

• Billing records. Stripe may retain payment, invoice, and subscription history for up to 7 years to meet its own legal and tax obligations. These records do not include access to your bookkeeping data: only the financial transactions between you and Clarity Books AI, LLC.
• Anonymized error logs. Aggregated diagnostic and crash data (via Sentry) is retained on a rolling 30-day window. These logs do not include account contents and are used only to diagnose technical problems.
• Database backups. Our database provider (Supabase) maintains rolling backups for up to 30 days. Your data is purged from these backups within that window. No new requests for your data can be served from a backup.
• Anything required by law. If we receive a legal request to retain data (subpoena, audit, etc.), we may retain it for the duration that the law requires.

Deleting your Clarity account does not automatically delete data held by services we integrate with. You should also:

• Disconnect Clarity from Plaid (Plaid's portal: my.plaid.com) to remove bank-account permissions on their side.
• If you want your Stripe customer record removed beyond the legally required retention, contact us.
